DENPASAR, NusaBali.com - The Bali Regional Police will deploy 4,000 personnel to secure the Archipelagic and Island State (AIS) Forum in Nusa Dua, Bali, on October 11.

Bali Regional Police Chief, Inspector General Police Ida Bagus Kade Putra Narendra, stated on Monday that the personnel on standby aim to bolster the security force from the National Police (Polri) Headquarters and the National Armed Forces (TNI).

"The police officers are under control of the Headquarters. We are here as backup with the Military Commander of Udayana," he stated in Denpasar.

He added that his team has coordinated with the Coordinating Ministry for Maritime Affairs and Investment regarding various preparations for the forum.

Equipment to enhance security for international meetings has been prepared. This equipment has been dispatched from various locations to Bali, originating from either Polri or TNI.

The current situation in Bali is conducive, and there are no outstanding issues of concern for the security force, Narendra stated.

He explained that the security plan for the AIS Forum will mirror that of the G20 Summit in November 2022, with a three-ring security scheme.

"Yesterday, a meeting was also held to secure the delegation. Of course, there will be ring 1, ring 2, and ring 3, mirroring the G20 Summit's security setup," he remarked.

In addition to finalizing preparations for security personnel, Bali's police have also inspected initial preparations of the venue for the AIS Forum.

"The security setup at the venue is ready," he noted.

The AIS Forum, scheduled in Bali on October 11, 2023, will be attended by seven heads of state and government of member countries. *ant
