The Suaka Baliaga: A Hidden Gem Where Ubud’s Soul Meets Seminyak’s Coast
SEMINYAK, NusaBali.com — Tucked away on a quiet lane just minutes from Batu Belig Beach, The Suaka Baliaga is a sanctuary that feels worlds apart from the vibrant rhythm of Seminyak. Set on 1,500 square meters of lush, riverfront land, this seven-bedroom luxury villa invites guests to experience the rare harmony between nature, culture, and refined comfort — an Ubud-like tranquility by the sea.
Located at Gang Daksina No.13-b, Jalan Batubelig, the villa borders Tibubeneng Village, a former part of Canggu before the area’s expansion. Yet once you step through its intricately carved wooden doors, you’ll quickly forget the outside world. A meandering garden dotted with Balinese statues, koi ponds, and trickling fountains leads you into an atmosphere of serenity, where time seems to move at a slower, more mindful pace.

Where Luxury and Tradition Breathe Together
Every corner of The Suaka Baliaga is designed with intention. The architecture fuses Balinese artistry with contemporary comfort — teakwood beams, vaulted ceilings, and warm lighting replace harsh modern brightness. Natural materials dominate, from eco-friendly rattan furniture to ocean-inspired tiles glimmering in the bathrooms.
“The idea behind The Suaka Baliaga is to bring the soul of Ubud to the beach,” explains I Wayan Widastra, Villa Manager. “Many guests tell us they feel like they’re in the middle of Ubud, even though we’re actually in Seminyak. Our goal isn’t just to make guests happy — it’s to make them feel this is their second home in Bali.”
The villa’s name, “Baliaga,” is inspired by Bali’s ancient mountain villages. Soon, each of the seven bedrooms will carry the name of one of these historic communities, complete with stories that connect guests to Bali’s cultural roots.
The Experience: A Private World of Rest and Renewal
Inside, The Suaka Baliaga offers more than accommodation — it’s a holistic escape. The property features a gleaming blue swimming pool, a fully stocked pool bar, a spa treatment room, and a wellness area with both hot and cold jacuzzis. A state-of-the-art sauna faces the gentle river at the back, framed by traditional stone gates.

Guests can immerse themselves in authentic Balinese activities such as canang sari (offering) making, satay preparation, or even learning to wear the traditional kamen (sarong). For children, the villa provides creative play — from fish-feeding at the koi pond to coloring and building games.
There’s also space for celebration: private events such as birthdays, weddings, and small corporate gatherings are hosted here, with a capacity of up to 40 seated or 75 standing guests.
